Thanks Paul and I like your list too, The Ox-Bow Incident and My Darling Clementine are excellent pics. I haven't seen Red River or They Died With Their Boots On.

Monty, you have to see Red River, Monty Cliff's first film and one of John Wayne's best performances, as good as or better than Rio Bravo and Stagecoach.

Dawn And Monty , after looking over our "Top Ten "I find it interesting that none of us have High Noon, or any of the the John Ford /John Wayne " Cavalry Trilogy on our lists. BTW TCM is running the first (And My favorite of the 3) Fort Apache today (Friday) 11.30AM pacific

Thanks Dawn for adding me and Paul's top westerns to the sidebar. And Paul, High Noon is good but it's not one of my favorites. But I was aching to put some of the Jimmy Stewart westerns he did for Anthony Mann in the 50's. Came close.

We three need to find a way to have a weekly discussion about Westerns. I'm dying for some good conversation about likes and dislikes.
